(CRDIBS) named after V. A. Kucherenko
Central research and development institute of building structures (CRDIBS) named after V. A. Kucherenko is one of the oldest scientific organizations in the country. The history of its foundation dates back to the year 1927 when State Institute of Structures was established in accordance with the order issued by the National Economy Council. Later, in 1931, it was reorganized into Central Research and Development Institute of Industrial Structures which in its turn was reorganized into CRDIBS in 1957. At the moment CRDIBS is a subsidiary of State Federal Enterprise “Stroitelstvo”.
Main activities of CRDIBS named after V. A. Kucherenko are related to the theory of structures and structural mechanics, development of new form of metal, stone and wooden structures as well as the structures utilizing plastic. Besides, CRDIBS develops product specifications, seismic resistance, vibration protection and fire resistance of structures and buildings. Also CRDIBS provides certification and licensing services covering the above activities.

ELST STROY
Main scope of work is related to the quality and reliability assurance of wooden and glued strctures during design, fabrication, installation and operational stages. ELST STROY provides technical support in the area of wooden structures production, assures quality control of wooden constructions, supports issuance of certificates of conformance, as well as inspection, assessment and renewal of wooden walls, headers and beams in residential and вcommercial premises. In the course of the integrated inspection structures made of the different materials are inspected as well.
ELST STROY Company has been establish in co-operation with quality control lab at CRDIBS named after V. A. Kucherenko.
